Privacy policy

This English version is provided for convenience. The German version is legally binding.

We only process personal data (hereinafter mostly referred to as “data”) to the extent necessary and for the purpose of providing a functional and user-friendly website, including its content and the services offered there.

In accordance with Art. 4 No. 1 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, i.e. the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to only as “GDPR”), “processing” means any operation or set of operations performed on personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.

With the following privacy policy, we inform you in particular about the type, scope, purpose, duration and legal basis of the processing of personal data, insofar as we alone or jointly with others decide on the purposes and means of such processing. We also inform you below about the third-party components we use for optimisation purposes and to increase the quality of use, insofar as third parties thereby process data on their own responsibility.

II. Rights of users and data subjects

With regard to the data processing described in more detail below, users and data subjects have the right

to confirmation of whether data concerning them is being processed, to information about the data processed, to further information about the data processing, and to copies of the data (see also Art. 15 GDPR);
to rectification or completion of inaccurate or incomplete data (see also Art. 16 GDPR);
to prompt erasure of the data concerning them (see also Art. 17 GDPR), or, alternatively, insofar as further processing is necessary under Art. 17 (3) GDPR, to restriction of processing under Art. 18 GDPR;
to receive the data concerning them that they have provided, and to have this data transmitted to other providers/controllers (see also Art. 20 GDPR);
to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority if they believe that data concerning them is being processed by the provider in breach of data protection law (see also Art. 77 GDPR).

The provider is also obliged to inform all recipients to whom data has been disclosed by the provider of any rectification or erasure of data, or restriction of processing carried out under Articles 16, 17 (1), 18 GDPR. However, this obligation does not apply where such notification is impossible or involves disproportionate effort. Notwithstanding this, the user has a right to information about these recipients.

Users and data subjects also have the right, under Art. 21 GDPR, to object to the future processing of data concerning them, insofar as the data is processed by the provider under Art. 6 (1) lit. f) GDPR. In particular, an objection to data processing for direct marketing purposes is permitted.

III. Information on data processing

Your data processed when using our website is deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies, no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion, and no differing information is provided below for individual processing procedures.

Cookie manager

To obtain consent for the use of technically non-essential cookies on the website, the provider uses a cookie manager.

When the website is accessed, a cookie with the settings information is stored on the user's device, so that on a further visit, the consent query does not need to take place again.

These session cookies are deleted when you close your internet browser.

c) Ways to remove cookies

You can prevent or restrict the installation of cookies through your internet browser's settings. You can also delete cookies that have already been stored at any time. Contact enquiries / ways to contact us

If you contact us via the contact form or by email, the data you provide will be used to process your enquiry. Providing the data is necessary to process and answer your enquiry, without it we cannot answer your enquiry, or can only do so to a limited extent.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. b) GDPR.

Your data will be deleted once your enquiry has been conclusively answered and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion, such as in the event of a subsequent contract performance.

Server data

For technical reasons, in particular to ensure a secure and stable website, data is transmitted to us, or to our web space provider, by your internet browser. With these so-called server log files, the type and version of your internet browser, the operating system, the website from which you came to our website (referrer URL), the website(s) of our site that you visit, the date and time of the respective access, and the IP address of the internet connection from which our website is used, are collected, among other things.

This data collected in this way is temporarily stored, but not together with other data about you.

This storage takes place on the legal basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in improving the stability, functionality and security of our website.

The data is deleted again after seven days at the latest, unless further storage is required for evidentiary purposes. Otherwise, the data is wholly or partially exempt from deletion until an incident has been fully clarified.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics on our website, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, a subsidiary of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter “Google”.

Google Analytics helps us analyse the use of the website and measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. The user can revoke their consent to the use of Google Analytics at any time with future effect via the “cookie settings” on our website, in accordance with Art. 7 (3) GDPR.

Specifically, we integrate Google Analytics 4 with the measurement ID G-7GT7L56V4X. This data is only collected once the user has consented to the analytics category via the cookie settings on our website.

Information such as the time, place and frequency of website visits, as well as interactions with the website (e.g. click paths, ads viewed/clicked, clicks on links), including the user's IP address, is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there for a maximum of 2 months.

Google LLC is part of the “Data Privacy Framework”, for which the EU Commission has issued an adequacy decision under Art. 45 GDPR: https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/list

Google also collects “demographic characteristics” and may compile statistics allowing conclusions about age, gender and interests of site visitors. This is done through the automated analysis of advertising and information from third-party providers.

If the user has activated personalised ads in their Google account and consents to Google Analytics, Google may analyse usage behaviour across devices, i.e. across all devices the user has linked to their Google account. Google creates models for cross-device conversions; we only receive anonymous statistics for this, not personal data.

We use Google Analytics with an anonymisation function. This shortens the user's IP address by Google within EU member states or in other states party to the EEA agreement.

Google uses the data collected to evaluate the user's visit to the website and to compile reports on website activity for us. The data is also used to provide further services related to website and internet use. Google may pass this information on to third parties where legally required, or where third parties process this data on Google's behalf.

According to its own statements, Google will under no circumstances link the user's IP address with other Google data. Further information and options to prevent the use of data are offered by Google here: https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/partners

If the user does not agree to the collection, they can also prevent it by installing the browser add-on to disable Google Analytics, once.

Google Tag Manager

We use Google Tag Manager to integrate various functions on our website. This product comes from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, a subsidiary of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter “Google”.

The Google Tag Manager container we use has the ID GTM-TKW4P8BP. The functions integrated via this container are delivered based on consent, i.e. according to the consents granted or refused by the user via the cookie settings.

Google Tag Manager is used exclusively to integrate certain content on our website and to enable the management of these functions via an interface provided by Google.

When the website is accessed, the relevant functions are loaded from a Google server, which may also be located in the USA. The user's IP address is processed in order to provide the functions.

The functions used are listed in full in our privacy policy. Consents not given by the user for certain functions are also observed when Google Tag Manager is used.

Facebook Pixel, conversion tracking

We use the Facebook visitor action pixel on our website, a web analytics and conversion measurement service provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland, a subsidiary of Meta Platforms Inc., 1601 S. California Ave., Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA, hereinafter “Facebook”.

The Meta Pixel we use has the pixel ID 1047451224737077. It is only loaded once the user has consented to the marketing category via the cookie settings on our website.

The Facebook visitor action pixel helps us analyse user behaviour on our website and promote our services on the Facebook platform. This is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. The user can revoke consent to this use at any time with future effect via the consent manager settings (“cookie settings”) on our website, in accordance with Art. 7 (3) GDPR.

The visitor action pixel establishes a connection to Facebook's servers in the USA. Facebook collects the IP address and information about the user's browser. An individual pixel ID and the associated website activities of the user are also stored.

This data processing allows Facebook to show the user personalised advertising from us on Facebook or on third-party sites. Conversion measurement also allows us to analyse and evaluate user behaviour after clicking on a Facebook ad and being redirected to our website, in order to increase the effectiveness of our Facebook ads.

In this context, we are jointly responsible together with Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2 Ireland, within the meaning of Art. 26 GDPR.

Google AdWords with conversion tracking

On our website, we use the Google AdWords advertising component and, with it, so-called conversion tracking. This is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to only as “Google”.

We use conversion tracking for the targeted advertising of our services. Where you have given consent for this processing, the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. The legal basis may also be Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our website.

If you click on an ad served by Google, the conversion tracking we use stores a cookie on your device. These so-called conversion cookies expire after 30 days and are otherwise not used to identify you personally.

If the cookie is still valid and you visit a specific page of our website, both we and Google can determine that you clicked on one of our ads placed with Google and were subsequently redirected to our website.

Using the information gathered in this way, Google compiles statistics on visits to our website for us. We also receive information on the number of users who clicked on our ad(s) and on the pages of our website subsequently accessed. However, neither we nor other third parties who also use Google AdWords are thereby able to identify you in this way.

You can also prevent or restrict the installation of cookies through the corresponding settings in your internet browser. You can also delete cookies already stored at any time. However, the steps and measures required for this depend on the specific internet browser you use. Google Remarketing or “Similar Audiences” component

On our website, we use the remarketing or “similar audiences” feature. This is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to only as “Google”.

We use this feature to place interest-based, personalised advertising on third-party websites that also participate in Google's advertising network.

Where you have given consent for this processing, the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. The legal basis may also be Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our website.

To enable this advertising service, Google stores a cookie containing a sequence of numbers on your device via your internet browser during your visit to our website. This cookie records both your visit and your use of our website in anonymised form. Personal data is not passed on. If you subsequently visit a third-party website that also uses Google's advertising network, advertisements related to our website or our offers there may appear.

To permanently deactivate this feature, Google offers a browser plugin for the most common internet browsers at https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin.

The use of cookies from certain providers can also be deactivated via opt-out, e.g. at http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices or http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/.

Through so-called cross-device marketing, Google may, under certain circumstances, also track your usage behaviour across multiple devices, so that interest-based, personalised advertising may be shown to you even when you switch devices. However, this requires that you have consented to linking your browsing history with your existing Google account.

YouTube

We maintain an online presence on YouTube to present our company and our services and to communicate with customers/prospective customers. YouTube is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, a subsidiary of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA.

We therefore point out that it is possible for users' data to be processed outside the European Union, in particular in the USA. This can pose increased risks for users, for example because access to user data at a later date may be made more difficult. We also have no access to this user data. Access is solely available to YouTube.

Cloudflare

To secure our website and optimise loading times, we use the Cloudflare service as a so-called CDN (content delivery network). This is a service provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, California 94107, USA, hereinafter referred to only as “Cloudflare”.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure operation and optimisation of our website.

When you access our website, your requests are routed via Cloudflare's server. Statistical access data on visits to our website is collected here, and a cookie is stored on your device by Cloudflare via your internet browser.

To enable the display of certain fonts on our website, a connection is established to a Google server in the USA when our website is accessed.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the optimisation and economic operation of our website.

Through the connection to Google established when our website is accessed, Google can determine from which website your request was sent and to which IP address the font should be delivered.
